Start a fresh conversation
Use the New chat button when you want a clean slate. Your old conversations stay saved in the list on the side, so this never deletes anything — it just opens a new blank one. Great for switching topics so things don't get muddled.
Have a chat that isn't saved
Temporary chat is a conversation that disappears when you're done — it isn't kept in your history. Think of it like a whiteboard you wipe clean, versus a notebook you keep.
Turn on temporary chat when you want to ask something one-off and not have it stick around. When would you want this?
- A quick question you don't need to keep.
- Something you'd rather not leave in your saved history.
- Testing out a brand-new character without cluttering your list.
Rule of thumb: use New chat when you want a fresh start but want to keep it; use Temporary chat when you want it to vanish afterward.
